My name is Karolina Thomoglou and I am an English Language Teacher living and working in Amsterdam. I was born in Bern, Switzerland and spent the next 28 years living and working in various fascinating countries, including, Canada, Greece, South Africa, and Germany. I have spent the last eight years working with children and adults, teaching General as well as Business English to all levels. I have taught Business English at a wide range of companies including E-bay, Siemens, Deutsche Telekom, and Deutsche Bank among others. I recently moved to Amsterdam from Berlin, Germany where I was employed at "The Wall Street Institute School of English. " There I had the great opportunity of working in small groups which instilled in me the desire to start teaching English on a one to one basis. I realized the potential of working intensively with one student; the chance to focus on each particular student's weaknesses as well as strengths, and the opportunity of building a curriculum based on each student's specific needs.
